Waste Management Phoenix Open (WMPO) Best Picks, predictions from the Mully TeamPosted on: Feb 09, 2022 | 2 min read
Let me lead this article off by telling you that if you haven't been, you absolutely, 1,000% need to attend the Waste Management Phoenix Open at some point in your life.
I went with a group of college buddies a few years ago, and we all dressed ridiculous, hopped in our limo (definitely don't drive) at 6am to pack in with the rest of the lunatics that wait anxiously for the gates to open at 7am.
We all then run to get a good spot on the 16th hole and not move for the entire day.
The entire weekend is just a party, the players, the fans, everyone gets into it. Then the best part? After they finish on Sunday, you can head up to your favorite sports bar in Scottsdale to watch the Superbowl. Doesn't get much better.
Here are your Mully Team Predictions for the weekend:
Drew: I picked Tony Finau becuase it feels right. He's a guy that thrives in this kind of environment, and he's been playing some great golf.
Mel: Xander Schauffele. He Co-led entering the finale round last year and had to settle for a T2. Coming of a great 2021 season and If he stays patient the win is his !!
Marc: My pick: Webb Simpson. 5 top 10s in last 9 starts there.
Rick: Keith Mitchell. SG off tee is a big data point for this course, and Keith is 7th in that category so far this season.
Joe: Jordan Spieth. Almost did it at pebble, and has 3 top 10s in 5 tries at this event
